Crystal Castles at Terminal 5 - Review

I believe that despite whatever her vocal range may be, Alice Glass is dedicated to the cause of showing her punk roots, by showing that beyond the spoils of Crystal Castles success that she is not a spoiled new-waver. Even with a broken ankle, the lead vocalist of this industrial dance induced band will go on stage and dance and jump and limp and scream and howl at the crowd.. She will even stage dive and have the crowd hold her up as well as hold up her broken ankle at moments with no remorse and without and recover time as well as without compliant. The engineer behind the beauty of the group Ethan Kath is a true producer and the true heart of the band, re-mixing various tracks in terms of the introduction to the song or the ending or re-imagining the entire song and they also used different vocal distortions than what was used on the album, which gave the songs new life. In addition with doing all of this re-mastering Ethan joined in to sing song of the songs that he put his vocals into. Another amazing aspect of the show came from amazing light show, which was completely in sync with every beat of a crystal castles songs and with the performance of Alice Glass, at some points it seemed almost in complete balance. A interesting turn of events also occurred just after the new extended introductions to a song would begin to start or even before the new intro would start, Alice would seem to be singing some kind of new poem or prayer that was said before the song began..something unexpected and the audience seemed to love it.Over-all the performance was a true representation of the bands efforts to expand and it exposed and reinforced how much the band cares about their music and performances.

Darkness.... defined or lost?

I wish we all could see how how the notion of a individual being able to contain true darkness is true and false. The guide lines for sustaining oneself within the perimeter of what we could consider within or outside of darkness changes person to person, group to group, religion to religion, culture to culture etc etc. The ability to truly find the pivotal aspects or points of reference in order to define the true components that can be contributed to the true sense of darkness is hard to defend or secure. Just like any other term the definition of darkness is open to a unlimited amount of interpretations, not just due to single individual interpretation of a person who interacts with darkness throughout his/her daily life, not just due to the fact that various cultures and religions are derived on various methods of containing/avoiding/preventing and sentencing what is deemed as darkness. The social congestion of this topic is based upon the general confusion of interpreting darkness as evil or by defining evil as darkness. When anyone interacts with his/her own thoughts, reflects upon a situation or engages him/herself within a given situation, whether it be his/her own or belonging to someone else. As soon as one person decides or interprets or gives feedback on the situation, that person has made a choice and that choice may not rest on the side of light or dark nor good or evil or it might be exactly one of those options. In other circumstances if you want to remove a cultural or social context of a situation an example could be the follow... if one child had to kill another child in order to obtain the food that child had in order to survive, who is good and who is bad, what if one of those children was your child or your brother or sister or neighbor...where do you make your choice... Another example could be a situation, where one adult murders another adult, if the murderer claims temporary insanity, some people could say this person is evil others would say this person is chemically unbalanced or it could reacted to as some kind of ploy to get out of harsh sentencing but what do you truly know about this person or his/her situation. Any individual can interpret these two examples or any other situations they engage in based on their own personal perceptions of reality. Does that not seem evil to you, the ability to condemn with little to zero knowledge, is it not evil or dark to assume you are intelligent, because you read a few books about a topic of have a degree in a particular field of study. The way person selects a friend or lover is usually selfish, usually in terms of making oneself feel sustained or busy or active or some other method of self-fulfillment is that not dark or evil or even the terms of preferences things that forsake others and allow others entry is that not a dorm of darkness. A given life style, who we select as friends or as lovers, the way we engage our family members or the way our family members engage us can change the way we interpret every fundamental thing we experience as humans. People like to re-define and reorganize and re-attribute what they consider to be social guidelines or even social faux pas pas in order to regulate and amputate the experience and in means of limiting the awkwardness or rudeness of a situation. If we are to engage defining any word and if we dare to say we know what any word means, we more than likely need to say we can only generalize the word or words being discussed and that it is up for interpretation just like anything else.
At the same time a person can not just claim darkness, a person cannot just simply be dark due to experience, that is not darkness not in my eyes.. To consider a person or anything dark, we would first need to acknowledge and discover all aspects of the thing we are interpreting in order to get to the source of what is being interpreted as darkness, however we all do this and what we find is not usually dark or evil, its fright, its despair, loneliness, anger, frustration and/ or alienation or there can be no source at all and that is when a true sense of darkness comes to pass. People portray darkness sometimes simply as a means of gaining attention or a way of being interacted with and that is not darkness. The other side of it could be that being dark as a person is not the same as containing a sense of darkness or creating illuminations that give light to darkness... but the same time there does exist a true darkness, which is something people do not want to be around. That true darkness can not be negotiated with or salvaged in any way. There are those who consider certain psychological disorders evil but that is not the truth, we give people we like or do not understand-way too much credit sometimes and every individual knows this, yet we all repeat our method of reasoning and interpreting every time we meet someone new or engage in a new situation... We all commit acts of darkness by being human in other words, we are all dark in that case..The scope of ones existence is a lie .... sometimes people become that much more complex, because you pull it out of them or because they know it is what they need to do in order to survive or obtain something... and again this is why darkness is confusing, because people generalize words and develop particular traits within themselves, due to the fact that we let them get away with it and that humans are generally attracted to these simple portrayals of the human condition, such as darkness, however, I believe that despite experiencing true darkness within certain individuals or situations, there are aspects of this word that no human could convey..

Enter the Void- Commentary- Two perspectives

Enter the Void

Lyn:
I didnt like it so much. I thought it was overstylized and by hour 2 it began to feel like freuds very own version of water torture. Linda's character was totally inconsistent and gelatinous. Not to mention the film attached a lot of negativity to homosexuality.

WilliamDante:
It's all a truth- What is one's actual mentality. You can't reject what is common- or what seems to under-estimation of ones will. The radical truths that are exposed in the film in order to make us feel that particular characters experienc...e in his/her reality may come across as overzealous or even the complete opposite at times but your defiance or disconnection to that characters relative interpretation of his/her social reality is not appropriate to you- due to the fact that it is not you. Most people do not know how to comprehend such disjointed personalities or persona's, believing in these type of personalities and people causes are own socially disruption. People are relatively going to end up a certain way and perceive things a certain way if not provided with the right influence or if they a lack a particular influence all together. The way she interacted with her environment is very much Freud but who can say that is wrong or right. She still did experience the pain of her reality, despite herself and her addictions or other social short-comings. We could say she felt catatonic within herself and was unable to escape-so- she rejected certain parts of herself and continued with others in order to survive. The surreal experiences that the main character exposes you too is his journey through his actual perceptions, which we experience as both fictional & non-fictional through the lens of the camera. His journey from his past until his present as well as his ability to go into the subconscious of his loved ones and even entering the fantasies of his own previously existing subconscious is what he needed in order to end his journey and become re-born. This film is his perception alone-so with that comes the arguments you brought up.

Forced vs. Force part 1

As I go about my day, everything just appears to be a response due to an immediate stimulus of some sort. Sometimes days and weeks go by and I find myself just trapped in this routine. As I go about my day every interaction I encounter I respond to in a particular way without hesitation. I simply respond to whatever stimulus activates whatever response necessary but I never challenge my responses. I seem to be this way, I know who I am and I can identify my true and false memories but yet despite appearing as this every day forged functioning human being, I still can't help but think about what is my true function, due to the fact that somehow this self that works the same way everyday is forced to be this way. Despite myself it seems as if I am physically and consciously forced to be this way, no matter how many changes arrive, this entry will discuss this struggle between being forced vs. force
Every so often I express some frustration in terms of my inability to push my life into a higher point but what is that point and if I reach it am I not forcing myself again to be something else or is this the natural force that one has power over. Instead of being forced into just sustaining oneself , which include ones bills, relationships and body. There is a choice you can make to force yourself completely out of this situation or be forced into a situation. There must be a way to to level out the way we all force ourselves to be something and the way we are forced to be defined. Where is the line between, who you were forced to be compared to what you are trying to naturally forced yourself to become or achieve.
This awareness of ones worth is not usually utilized by the masses, its corrupting to have dreams or aspirations. When one hears of goals that seem farfetched for whatever reason, one submits that individual to being held within a state of denial of ones actuality or reality; meaning due to ones economic or social class, in reference to finances, education, appearance as well as age. A person or group may not believe that individuals ability to reach a certain point of potential. This inability to sustain ones aspirations makes one settle for a much more controlled and simplified every day existence in order to avoid rejection and failure. When a culture believes in being automatically satisfied in a instant, I would imagine dreams being avoided.
Instant and simultaneously instant gratification is a functioning social dilemma that plagues many different groups of people. People go to great lengths to find this and that usually leads them to life that is forced upon them. Human affection is the first dilemma one discovers during adolescence, the main goal of most individuals despite whatever hope or dream they have is to be cared for and this is one of the first ways we realize how to instantly gratify this feeling. This need grows more and more as one enters adulthood and depending on various personal and environmental factors an individual may desire short term instances of affection or continuous long-term interactions; that are carried out in various ways.
As one grows up they act out certain roles that gain them affection from an individual or group; they will act intelligent, vindictive, athletic, artistic, diplomatic or any other extreme that is opposite of any role that may or could exist within any interaction, one on one or within a group. The opposite side is when a group of individuals come together and become a collective consciousness; where they all act similar and like the same things and that makes them battle for the same roles constantly, which would make many push themselves in various directions in order to dominate and win the affection of the group, which will satisfy this need of affection and instant gratification from various peers or friends.
This may seem like a melodramatic introduction to psychology but we must take into account that the the way one establishes his/her social role with various individuals or groups within early and late adolescence, establishes a social schema that most people will perform throughout their lives. This is an example of how one becomes forced into a situation in order to obtain something ( ex. friends, intimate partners) etc. Is this an example of being forced or is this the natural force we use in order to obtain. The cost here is the sense of actual self, the behavior within a group or even a pair of individuals . These interactions of affection can be given in various ways, it can be more contact with a particular person, it can be physical attention one obtains from another or is can be from the way the other individual mimics certain behavior patterns in order to be recognized. Everyone in the group is striving to survive and sustain themselves in the group. Either way this is an example of how we force people to be a certain way with each other, due to our behavior we are forcing these emotions out of people and the more a person becomes aware of this the more their individual behavior pattern will become permanent. The same goes for those who are ignored, some go out of their way, some are simply unadaptable and others just crave the rare form of attention that is given to them, due to the fact that they are ignored. Depending on how this impacts them on a larger social scale when talking to other peers or family members, their personal mindset could manifest in various dominant and recessive ways.
In any social relationship there comes a point, when ones primary social interactions decay or sustain and continue. This is a breaking point for any individuals, many live off this particular kind of interacting or affection given to one by a particular person or group. When one is unable to re-obtain the person or people that perform this task for him/her. Ones personality maybe forced to become something other than its previous counterpart or it will push itself to re-adapt to any individual or group in range. Some people remain the exact same way and hope to find those that can be similar to previous interactions but if none is found a change will come. An individual is able to survive extreme situations and if they are not able to get a form of instant gratification, the way interacting with a person or group does they will strive for characteristics that will help them obtain what they desire again, whether it be in negative or positive way.
There are those however, who never felt sustained by a group or person and never felt that the temporary affection, whether it be long term or short term is enough for their sense of self and purpose of for-filling desires. Many of these individuals forfeit themselves to something else, this is when an individual may decide a new type of life style all together. Depending on whatever factors are in that persons mindset, they will seek a goal that will either attach them to something larger than themselves or something much smaller. Primary and secondary achievements and instant gratification may not work for them, so they are more willing to take a longer road, more willing to strive. Like anything else this is not always true, many individuals who are able to sustain a particular life style by interacting with various people and groups continuously from the past and present, are able to strive for long term goals, because they have been able to sustain their needs and desires emotionally and socially.
The force that exist in order for us to function in society is a constant reminder of individual worthlessness and frailty. Again this is all instant gratification, every response depicted is a way to interact to be put into focus. When you sit back and critique why a person does anything its set into motion this concept of ideal force, this need to be socially interacted with, to be instantly gratified. The social necessities established by various cultures in particular American have us geared towards obtaining attention, recognition and affection from others not ourselves. This is a force that delays ourselves from ever growing into something more. We become defined in order to a part of something temporary in order to feed our instant needs. Anything can define this delay, a job, a relationship being a friendship or other, a new television show. The way one must rebuild and reorganize their social construction and personal principles may lead to a path that may delay or negate all of ones regular interactions, perhaps temporarily or indefinitely.

A creation Story

My souls true birth was at a unknown location on edge of the universe. This location was unable to measured by time and it was uninhabited and remained suspended in a space pocket deep into the universe. If we like to go with the big bang theory, as the universe expanded and molecules particles and dust traveled and circulated around in the universe the planets and eventually life was birthed into the emptiness that was the universe. The remaining dust - molecules and dust etc that remained or the particles that left the already existing universe made its way to my pocket of the universe and over time it condensed due to the gravitational pull in that area and over time my soul was created. - I guess thats where I belong !

Just a thought about religion

Here is my problem, religion is used as a means to cope to deal with ( you, me-us ) existing thats not what religion should be.. I know thats impossible but thats the only point right. The ability to interact with something foreign or beyond us, in order to make us think we are looking at the bigger picture, which makes us reflect and act differently. Sometimes religion makes a individual react out of fear due to the punishment of not following certain principles that a religion or belief follows. The other side is the gift of what we will receive if we act accordingly to the belief we follow ( whether chosen for us by family or not). The communion of words gives us a sense of higher purpose . The words that we read within a belief system are actually just turning our common knowledge of what we ( grew up understanding ) or (grew up to understand) as ( good or evil) into fragmented mystifying circumstances of nature vs. nurture- good vs. evil- chance vs. choice etc. These metaphysical or ethical or spiritual treatments about our selfhood or self in terms of our interaction with our unbalanced and ambiguous community. These words become more powerful when our place within our community is unknow/uncertain, when the roles we think we play are not played. When we are restricted or denied by the people we do socialize with or the people we would like too. This duel combination of self uncertainty vs social uncertainty makes us clench onto theories that we find the most soothing or self reflective in one way or another. Any combination of circumstances, can exist in order to make someone search deeper into a practice they already know or do not know for answers. The level of which one falls apart or feels unknown or mystified by his/her own existence can come from any amount of stress or disorder or discomfort, its very individually base in other words some people do have thicker skin, when it comes to dealing with their individual reality. We rely on religion to give ourselves hope, by exploring valuable words of truth a person is able to reinterpret and re-acknowledge what is happening to themselves, their community and/or society, it really depends on what someone is really looking for.
Any disregard away from self-hood and religion would be ignored, the thing about biology and chemistry is that it still deals with ourselves, even astronomy is something about the self. Why, must it always come back to human level.. We are self-concerned and self-centered people and we live in a world where individuality is so much more important than just being a person. We don't have strength as individuals because we are never understood and what defines our society is never understood either. There is a standstill of unlimited amounts of possibility without any actual definition, without actual estimation of what the true result will be. There is only the temporary and many individuals who truly understand that there is no truth, that there is no real definition or certainty of self-hood/community/society truly connect with atheism for that exact reason.

Where is the "peak of progress" ? and the pursuit of happiness

The peak of progress has passed away and in its place is a need for a more complex infrastructure, which demands constant supervision and reorganization in order to not fall apart completely. This is not means of designing or sustaining a flourishing country/world but of broken lust, a forbidding lost dream that was once created for our people living around the globe. The various government systems continue to operate in a never ending rat race to sustain themselves and other governments from falling pray to a much larger kind of vulture. Where is the peak of progress or the harmonious plateau of which people are achieving and gaining more wealth and social acceptance and status, this was meant to be future, "prosperity" social and economic evolution was meant to be the path way to our salvation. The peak of progress has been removed from our sights. The achievements and futures end of poverty, disease and war has been all along a dehumanizing and formidable social hoax a dishonorable ploy, that has been our destiny or designed truth. Our country honored us by developing a system that holds us to political and corporate obligations, which was never meant to sustain us all but to sustain a class of people. America and various other governments found these means of economic truth in order to sustain itself. This "independence" became the tool to use in order to remove the countries guilt in your life. America told you come to us " you can have it all" you can have your wealth, social status etc. This was just a political move a alter ego of the political system to not take the blame. It also allowed the government to exist in a way that did not demand as much money directly from its citizens as other european powers did in the past but this was a temporary social arrangement, the rights we have to empower and maintain ourselves has always been contradicted. Legislation and the various powers of the federal system always found their loop holes, throughout american history in order to sustain this so called "individual" based system a government system that is meant to be based and run by the "people". These loop holes in the constitution allowed various forms of social and civil injustice to occur amongst various ethnic groups ( ex. african americans, illegal citizens) and amongst ( ex. women, ethnic men and women, transgendered, homosexuals and religious groups) this derailment of social, political, economic opportunity was and is a negation of human rights and our founding fathers concepts of justice, truth and freedom. What freedom have we had, the actuality of injustice is just not to those justice and freedom was taken away from. The upper, middle and lower class white families have been allowed to scapegoat these people for years and have allowed themselves to be manipulated and crucified by the laws that were meant to give them freedom. Thousands of lives have come and go without being acknowledged as truly being apart of the state. This has never been a country of freedom in other words. This country has never been whole, it will never be whole or complete , it was never meant to function and work as one it was destined and designed to fail. The aftermath has left us stigmatized and in a state of second nature, we our lost amongst ourselves and don't know how to think without these social tools created from previous injustices amongst the various groups of people that existed or due exist in society. These people exist as second class citizens, their natures, social wealth and outlook has been created from our country we can't remove what has been taught to us. We our all racist, sexist this allows our "I" our true identity to be lost at all times. We all have preconceived notions of what other "people" belonging to a particular " group" are the way they ( ex. think, act, talk. etc) these behavior systems have been established by not only our government but our community and families alike but it all comes from one place. We all belong to some form of institution or group, whether we claim this identification as part of our actual own identity or not is a different story but when people see a person or talk to someone and find out certain details of ones actuality, the belonging to this associated " group" becomes more and more prevalent. This is a social tool is our ability to generalize, this is the way we socially adjust to other people and either reinforce or destroy the social stigmas that exist within our minds. This ambivalent social upheaval is one major issue existing in modern society. The political, economic and social infrastructure that demanded a design of hierarchy, that allowed the social injustices to occur in the past and in the present allows us to seek further notions of justice and equal treatment. We have lived in society of social and moral corruption lost within social structures that are the product of previous and existing institutionalized law. This is just one of the various institutional flaws, which have been reviewed and used by the political leeches that exist within the government system. The corrupted notions of justice to those second class citizens is a product of scape-goating and social propaganda and it worked. The government has an ideal that they have stood by until the days of J.F.K and this was to make sure that the upper class remain there. To restore the wealth of those up top and leave the lower class, dwindling until the end, unless they can be "independent" and make their own fortune and climb up the latter by hand and foot. The political power of the upper class has been known and acknowledged for some time now they are able to pay their way into legislation. They use the products of the mass media and manipulate the public with reinforced marketing schemes and social propaganda. The issue here is now we have the rich profiting from the poor and they have sucked the bone marrow our of the lower class citizens to the point where the possibility of paying off this accumulated debts is nearly impossible. The government along with the upper class passed law and regulations of the banks, loans and credit cards. The upper class worked with the federal, state and local governments to set up the systems of taxation. This needs to be removed, we our to foregone with debt we need to tax the upper class in order to sustain our country again. There needs to be a more direct way to upper class to pay its debt to society. They do not need to loose their fortunes that they earned or were given but they need to understand where their money actually comes from and that is the people. The government needs to cease these aide programs that are meant to help everyone a tiny bit in order to activate a stimulus. It won't work the working class the typical american home needs more then an extra 1,600 to buy more toilet paper and to pay the rent for one month. We need 2,000 to 6,000 in tax cuts etc. They need to not give out so much extra money to local governments to spend on independent projects/ear marks. We need to not give important IRS and federal job opportunities to those with a high school diploma or GED. They deserve to move up in the ranks in order to earn more money or to continue their education assisted by the government in order to earn more money but they should not be paid so well right off the bat. We need to re-design the payment of those that work for the government governors, senators etc. These are just some example of the way money is spent incorrectly, these are just some of the signs of the fragments that corrupt and demoralize our institution. This impossible possibility to sustain our country is the current issue. Our country hoped to never truly suffer again since the great depression but now we suffer. We bleed ourselves alive in every day life trying to maintain ourselves, our homes, our families to keep the upper class " rich". The true aim is to have them regain their fortunes but they have not been able to regain their fortunes as swiftly as man kind had hoped for and now, we are left with a debt of massive unheard proportions. This favoritism has not worked and has only put us in a worse predicament, we need to take from the upper class more then what Obama has planned. We need to retrieve a new government system in which the new ideas thought up by everyday citizens is actually heard by the federal government. There is no current real growth for the lower and middle class due to this "bail out" billions of dollars missing, due to internal corruption within these companies. This is only going to be taxed on to the citizens in the future. How can people in debt pay for all of this. Where is the profit for the lower class, where is the sustainability in the long term. Where, who, what, how are we going to build ourselves again in truly flourish and find or seek the peak of progress. tell me..
